I had a good day today

I am, frankly, a rather lazy person. I intended to write a short journal entry tonight in a diary I've not entered anything into in at least a month. However, I left this downstairs and it is now nearly midnight. I do not wish to get out of my bed. I have settled on the solution of using this blog, which I use less frequently than even my diary, to write a vague summary of today's events so that they are recorded somewhere outside the labyrinthine caverns of memory in my brain.

Today I had to be at work at 7:30, and I arrived at time. I clocked out at 9:45 to go to a psychiatrist appointment, where my new doctor and I further discussed the new medications she has me on and her suspicion I am on the autism spectrum. I returned to work shortly before eleven in the morning. I worked until 4 PM that afternoon; originally I was scheduled to work until 4:30 but my manager said, unprompted, I could take off half an hour early and after confirming he really was fine with this, I accepted his offer. I picked up a buddy at the campus and took him to get his car from the mechanic's. We already had plans to meet later that night at Waffle House with two others, but one person we intended to meet there had to cancel on us so instead we decided to go to a barbecue place instead. While passing the time between dropping him off at the mechanic's and meeting him and the other fella, I purchased a yuri manga anthology at Barnes and Noble and stopped in at the grocery store I used to work at several years ago. We had dinner around 6:30 to 8 and discussed politics. All three of us are Democrats. Afterwards, my buddy's friend had to run to Walmart so the two of us went to grab ice cream together. I got the smallest, cheapest option (five dollars for one scoop in a cup...) in keeping with my promise to dad to spend less money and eat healthier. Then I came home and spent some time watching Seinfeld with my dad and our puppy before they went to bed, and then I watched an episode of House, the Season 5 one about the Special Education teacher.

Goodnight!

It was a good day.
